I am 60 years old.  I plan on retiring in 10 years (i hope). Is it too late to start doing this stuff? I have been screwed a lot of financial advisors in my life and I want to do it myself.

It is definitely not too late Sherry! You don’t need to necessarily actively trade the markets to manage your own retirement. A lot of people have IRAs that they manage passively. The most important thing to learn is basic understanding of markets, trends, investment strategies, etc. so that you don’t get screwed by financial advisors in the future.

There are classes on our courses page that teach about investing for retirement so feel free to head over there! You can also reach out through our contact form and we offer personal financial assistance for free!

I was in the same boat just a few years ago. I started trading my own portfolio on TD Ameritrade and have done much better then the supposed experts. There are too many fees with them. It is never too late!

Hey Sherry if you are still looking you should try Motif Investing. I signed up when this site put out a review of it that everyone was talking about. It has been great, simple, and I have been able to have just enough control over my portfolio to feel comfortable but not so little control that I am totally lost. Here is the review if you are wondering.
